How to use the Firebook
The fire book is where you collect all fire-related information about your buildings. It consists of 5 predefined chapters, in addition to allowing you to create your own where you can enter the information you need.
Do you want to give the fire department access to the fire log? Create a user with the user role "Guest role". They will then have access to view the fire log, the Document Archive and Internal Control in IK-Bygg (if you subscribe to IK-Bygg).

General information
Here you see the information that was entered on the building itself when it was created. You have a shortcut to edit this via the button at the top right of the page.
About fire safety
Here you fill in information about the building related to fire safety. Here are standard fields for filling in, which you can fill in both from here and via the Overview page. On the overview page you will find a table with all buildings, and you can plot fire-related information on many buildings at once. If you want to enter information about fire safety on many buildings at the same time, you can go to the page for mass editing the fire book. You can find it under Fire book > Overview. Here is a table where you can easily edit each field directly. What you fill in here will automatically be in the fire book for the building.
Routines and control
Here you enter all routines in the building related to fire safety. In the same way as for routines, you create different categories in which you want to group your fire routines, and then create routines within each category. All categories are global, meaning they will apply to all buildings.
To create a new routine, click on the menu to the right of the category you want it to be in. Click on "Add routine". If you subscribe to IK-Bygg, you also have the option to click on "add routine from IK-Bygg".

Once you have clicked "Add routine", you follow the same creation procedure as for a work order.
When you need to process a routine from the fire book, you can either do it from here or from the app.
Fire control checklists
Here you will see an overview of all checklists that have been delivered on a routine associated with the fire book.
Documents
This shows the "Brannbok" folder in the document archive for the selected building. You can both upload and download documents from here. See how to use the document archive.
TIP ! Here you can download a suggested folder structure in a zip file, which you can use in the document archive > Brannbok: Once you have downloaded the file, go to Brannbok > Documents (chapter 5 of the Brannboka). Right-click on the green folder “Brannbok” > Upload zip file. Select the zip file in the file uploader, and check “Extract here” and “The file should be available for all builds”. Click Upload, and refresh the page once when it is finished. You will then get the following folder structure, and you can choose whether you want to delete any folders, rename them, etc.: |
Create your own chapters
You can choose between creating standard chapters (both the chapter and its content will appear on all buildings) or building-specific chapters.
Standard chapters are great for adding, for example, instructions, an overview of routines, or other things that everyone should be able to see and access, while building-specific chapters are where you can create content that is customized for each individual building. See images below for examples.
To create a new chapter, click the + sign for the desired chapter type. This will automatically open your new chapter, and if you click inside the chapter (in the heading “New chapter”) you can give the chapter a name, and start typing or pasting text. You can also create subchapters by using the button in the upper right corner “New subchapter” (NOTE: Save the main chapter before creating a subchapter). A chapter can have multiple subchapters. You can change the order of chapters by clicking and dragging in the menu on the left.
Copying chapters
Administrators can copy chapters. This is useful if you want to have a standard layout for all buildings, but the content of the chapters can be different.
To copy, right-click on the chapter. Note that the chapter will be available on all buildings, and that the content itself will be building-specific and editable. A notification about this will also be displayed before you perform the action.
NB! Only admins can create and delete custom chapters.
