Visma Enterprise and LAFT
In the rental module in LAFT, there are two different ways you can transfer invoice data to Visma Enterprise; via flat file, or via Web Service. Use of flat file is included in the subscription to the rental module, while connection via Web Service is an additional service. Here we show what must be in place before you can use the different solutions.

Setup
To transfer the correct invoice basis to Visma via flat file, the following information must be entered into LAFT:
- Client ID
- Product codes (item numbers) for rent and any rent supplements
- VAT codes for rent and any rent supplements
- Complete personal identification numbers of all tenants
All of these must match the existing setup in Visma.
To enter all this information into LAFT, you will be sent one of our import files from your contact person. If you need to add anything manually afterwards, you can read below how to do it:
Client ID:
To add a client ID, go to Settings in the rental module and select the "Invoicing" tab. Then scroll to the very bottom of the page to "Here you can create new client IDs." Fill in the ID and description and click "Add new."
Product codes
Product codes are also located in the "Invoicing" tab under Settings in the rental module. If you scroll down the page a little, you will get an overview of all product codes that have already been entered into the system, and you can add new ones under this table. Enter the product code that matches the item number in Visma and a description, for example "Power". Then click "Add new". When you are going to use this product code as an addition to a rental agreement, you must first edit the rental object and retrieve it there, before adding it to the current rental agreement.
Charts of accounts and VAT codes can only be created via import file, or support with us. Please contact support@laft.io if you need to create this.
Use:
Once you have entered all the necessary information from Visma into LAFT, you are ready to start sending invoices. See here how to invoice.
Enterprise Web Service
For those of you who want to use Web Service, you must also order this package from Visma. If you do not have this, contact Visma and request a quote for "ws_fakturagrunnlag". A meeting will then be set up with your municipality, representatives from Visma and representatives from LAFT who will set up the integration.
To transfer the correct invoice basis to Visma via Web Service, the following information must be entered into LAFT:
On rental properties:
- Client ID
- Product codes (item numbers) for rent and any rent supplements
- VAT codes for rent and any rent supplements
On tenants:
- Complete personal identification numbers of all tenants
- Organization number of organizations
All of these must match the existing setup in Visma.
For Visma Web Service, you can also enter charts of accounts. Each chart of accounts represents an accounting dimension. An accounting dimension must be unique.
NOTE! You only need to enter this if you want the invoice basis from LAFT to override the setup you have for the tenant and/or product code in Visma.
To enter all this information into LAFT, you will be sent one of our import files from your contact person. If you need to add anything manually afterwards, we have instructions for this here .
Use:
Read through this user guide on how to create an invoice basis.
Warning triangles on invoice basis:
If the invoice basis is marked with a red warning triangle, it means that there is missing information on the tenancy, which means that it will not be able to be transferred to Visma. If you hover your mouse over this triangle, you will see information about what is missing, and if you click on it, you will be given the opportunity to enter the missing information. Once you have done this, the warning triangle will disappear and the invoice basis is ready for transfer.
If you try to transfer invoice bases and these fail for some reason, you will find them under "Invoice bases with error messages". Here you can see the reason why they failed. Once this has been corrected, you can create invoice bases for these again and transfer again. Note that you should then create invoice bases for each individual tenancy so that you do not create them for all tenancies in your area again.
Under "Previous transfers" you can see reports based on invoices that have been sent to Visma.
