Communicate with the tenant in the rental module

In the rental module, you can send emails directly to the tenant so that you automatically log this communication in LAFT. You can also log other types of communication.

Go to Tenancy and search for the tenancy where you want to communicate with the tenant.
Click on the rental property itself.
Click on the tab for Active and future tenancies.
In the gear wheel on the right, click on "Log for the tenancy".

Here you will find a log of everything that has happened in the tenancy. You can choose whether letter templates you download for the tenancy should be logged here. This is done under Settings in the rental module.
Scroll down the page to send an email to the tenant:

Here you can choose between Note, Email and SMS. If you choose Email you will be given the option to add a recipient. If you add the tenant here, an email will be sent, provided that a working email has been registered for the tenant. If you leave this field empty, you will only log that you have sent an email.
It is not possible to send SMS via the system, only to log messages already sent.
