1. Settings in the rental module

Settings in the rental module are important to review in order to be able to use the rental module to the fullest. Here you can enter standards for billing emails, as well as set up your own notification pattern (e.g. when the lease and/or warranty expires). Here you can also select checklists for check-in/check-out and inspection of rental properties, so that this is registered on the lease and the rental property, respectively.

Here is a guide with more information: Settings in the rental module

2. Create tenants

You can create tenants manually within LAFT. Here you can choose whether it is a private person or an organization. You have the opportunity to enter a lot of information, but the only thing that must be entered is the one with a red star.

If you have many tenants that need to be moved into place, we can help you import them. Contact support@laft.io for more information.

3. Create rental objects

You can create rental objects manually. Here you can set all settings for the property itself. You can also link the rental properties to buildings in the property structure.

If you have many rental properties that need to be moved into place, we can help you import them. Contact support@laft.io for more information.

Here is a link to how to create and edit a rental object: Creating and editing rental objects

4. Establishing a tenancy

To create a tenancy, you must associate one (or more) tenant(s) and a rental object. Everything you do will be logged, and you can always edit a tenancy later.

If you have many rental properties that need to be moved, we can help you import them. Contact support@laft.io for more information.

Optional: Import of data

We have an import template that you can fill out if you have a lot of data to import. The import template can be sent to support@laft.io, and they will assist you further with the import.

Here is a link to how to fill out the import template help article: Fill out the import template in the rental module

Next steps:

Once you have entered the data above, it is time to move on to the module. The natural next steps to familiarize yourself with are as follows:

  • Creating contract templates
  • Creating letter templates
  • Regulating rent in LAFT
  • Invoicing rent in LAFT
  • Sending orders from rental to operations
